Welcome to the IT Minor

Elizabeth Reves has been teaching, training, and facilitating workshops in communication topics for over 15 years in both credit and non-credit bearing programs. Her specialties include Workplace Communication, Team Building, Customer Service, Conflict Management, and Leadership. She has taught credit-bearing courses at University of Arkansas – Little Rock and University of Arkansas – Pulaski Technical College. Elizabeth’s clients for non-credit course range from municipalities, to private companies both small and large, and government organizations. Her professional experience also includes work in sales, commercial insurance, commercial construction, and the legal system.

Elizabeth holds a Master of Applied Communication Studies from the University of Arkansas – Little Rock and attended the University of Arkansas – Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. Her graduate studies and continuing research focus on Organizational Development, Workplace Communication, and Non-Verbal Communication. She has completed numerous professional development programs including a certificate in Effective Instruction from the Association of College and University Educators, Master Career Specialist from the National Career Development Association, certificate in Crisis & Emergency Risk Communication from the Centers for Disease Control, a certificate for Risk Communication During a Time of Crisis: How to Talk About Disasters from Johns Hopkins, Bloomberg School of Public Health, and course work for Professional Project Management. Elizabeth is passionate helping students and participants understand that everything they will ever do, whether at work or at home, can be done better, and to greater satisfaction, with well-honed communication skills. She believes that knowledge of good communication practices can help people find constructive ways to deal with issues people encounter in their everyday lives.
