The STEM Career Fair is Tuesday, February 13, 2024. To prepare, you need to:
1. Register
- Register through Handshake
- Choose 3-5 companies who will be exhibiting to visit
- Find out what areas for which they are looking for employees or interns
- Find out about their company culture by examining their brochures, looking at their website, and asking questions (“tell me about your company culture” is a perfectly legitimate question)
- Write a blog post that includes at least a paragraph about each company, particularly about their culture. Don’t be negative with your review; just because you don’t find the culture or company particularly appealing, doesn’t mean someone else won’t. There’s a lid for every pot.
- Share your Blog with your classmates. Sometimes job/internship searches can be a divide and conquer situation. You never know when you might run across a job not good for you that would be perfect for someone in your network.
