Description: The Arkansas Space Grant Consortium (ASGC), a participant in the National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program (NSGCFP), invites applicants from all disciplines to apply for the Arkansas STEAM Program. This grant supports projects that promote awareness of NASA-related topics and inspire students to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Aerospace, and Mathematics (STEAM). Applicants from any field are encouraged to apply, provided their projects align with NASA’s mission and objectives.

Eligibility Requirements

- The applicant must be a U.S. citizen (Permanent residents are not considered as U.S. citizens for the purpose of this program)

- Must be enrolled as a full-time student at an ASGC member University

- Must be in a good academic standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale)

The Arkansas Space Grant Consortium (ASGC), a participant in the National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program (NSGCFP), invites Faculty Researchers to apply for the Student Intensive Training (SIT) program on behalf of the students. This program is designed to support multiple student projects grouped around one STEM study area, typically a research topic area. For undergraduate students only multiple student projects will be successfully awarded, while graduate student projects could potentially have only one participant. The project area will be a focus study towards an aerospace research topic or an important training topic. Successful SIT proposals will include stipends to support undergraduate students for approximately one academic year and include sufficient materials, supplies, and any travel costs to provide for the operation of the project.

*** Note – this is a Student Award, but a Faculty Researcher must apply for the award on behalf of the student(s). ***

Faculty Eligibility Requirements

- Research proposals from Principal Investigators (PI) who are U.S. citizens may include direct support funds (e.g., salary, travel)

- Non-U.S. citizen PIs may be selected for funding (based on reviews) but cannot receive direct support (e.g., salary, travel, etc.)

- Non-U.S. citizens may receive support from their universities, but these funds cannot be used as cost-share for the award
